The work carried out by the Energy Training Centre throughout 2011 saw the development of 13 training programmes with a total of 186 courses. These courses took place in three different countries, Spain, Colombia and Portugal.

In Spain, courses have been imparted in 24 cities with the participation of students in nine Autonomous Communities. In Portugal, the training was held in Lisbon and Porto, and in Colombia, in the cities of Bogota and Barranquilla.
 
This means that a total of 46,926 hours of training in face to face instruction were given, for a total of 2,568 professionals, representing an average of 18.3 hours per student.

The activities have been aimed both at incorporating new professionals into fast growing sectors, and to maintain and to  increase the training level of working professionals, ensuring, in both cases, their adequate training and preparation.

The lines of activity are aimed at supplementing the regulation training or that already underway in the sector, with particular emphasis on customer care, quality of service and on training for middle managers.

The pedagogical model employed uses a balanced combination of theoretical and practical training, with significant use of new technologies, in order to ensure rapid integration of professionals once trained to jobs in their corresponding companies.

At the end of the year the classrooms were inaugurated in what will be the new Headquarters of the Foundation in Sabadell.
