Pedro-A. Fabregas, the Foundation's director general, and Carme Verdaguer, director of the Bosch Gimpera Foundation's Innovation Centre, have signed a new agreement to continue research work into the origins of the gas industry in Catalonia, covering the final remaining period up to 1906.

The research project will be headed by Dr. Carles Sudrià I Triay, Professor of History and Financial Institutions of the University of Barcelona.

The work will consist of locating, identifying and digitally reproducing the most significant legal and commercial documents related to the gas industry in Catalonia from its origins in the 1840s up to 1906.
