The educational activities of the Gas Museum for the academic year 2012/13 have been reformulated using a transformational didactic model and clearly linking them to the exhibition. The aim is to construct a stamp of identity that enables the Gas Museum to develop its own recognisablestyle, based on competence education, the learning cycle and the active protagonism of the students.

Competence education allows students not only acquire knowledge but it also mobilises them when they are faced with situations of increasing complexity. All the Gas Museum activities combine a part of a workshop and a part of a tour so that the content worked on can be coherently related to the heritage of the Museum and the school curriculum. The structure of the activity follows the model of the learning cycle, new content is introduced in a participatory and contextualized way, communication is stimulated in order to structure the content learned and, finally, the new learning is applied in different contexts.

The Gas Museum is a centre for consultation for research projects. Students and researchers who are carrying out a research project will find the necessary assistance for access to documentary sources and for interpreting them.
