The objective of the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation Gas Museum is the preservation, conservation and diffusion of the historical heritage of the gas and electricity sectors, along with the exploration of the future of energies and their interaction with the environment.

Located in the modernist building, La Energía, in the Plaça del Gas in Sabadell, the Gas Museum proposes a journey through the evolution of the gas and electricity industry in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries seen through the social changes produced by the new technologies and new inventions. The exhibition presents a reflection on the present and future of energy. In other words, on the importance of making efficient use of the available natural resources in order to obtain energy continuously, economically and with a low environmental impact. Finally, the building shows its own sustainability measures in terms of eco-efficient construction.

In addition, the Gas Museum hosts the Gas Natural Fenosa Historical Archive, which, with more than 3,000 metres of shelves, represents one of the most significant company archives in the country.

The building is also the headquarters of the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation, an institution of reference in the field of energy, the environment and the history of gas and electricity; the activities, of dissemination, training and research with a presence in Europe, Latin America and the Maghreb.
